To be successful, BIM, which will gradually impose itself on the entire building and public works industry, must be able to be implemented easily, with a low investment by being accessible independently of business software.
To this end, the Alliance is a group of independent players who operate activities, whatever they may be, in connection with construction on a professional or personal basis, in the public, parapublic, associative and private domain in Europe, in the building and public works sector which require the use of very diverse data and digital applications which must interoperate through the use of an open and documented data format.
The main objective of the ALLIANCE DU BATIMENT association is to provide stakeholders with the “Open dthX” digital content description data format developed by the company datBIM and which under the terms of an agreement signed with the Alliance du Bâtiment , grants it exclusive operating rights and allow its use free of rights to the players in the sector represented in the Building Alliance with the aim of:
Produce quality digital deliverables collectively according to a BIM process (exchange and sharing of project or work information) for ALL thanks to the standardization of the input data of business software and the enrichment of objects the advancement of the project to support the system engineering process based on the MOP law (Maitrise d’Ouvrage Publique) in France;
Streamline digital exchanges between the various players in the construction world regardless of the software used;
Fostering confidence in digital exchanges between players thanks to a balanced governance of the format provided mainly by the players in the sector and the contracting authorities;
Contribute to the digital transition of the construction industry to facilitate its ecological transition;
Referencing actors, digital products users of the Open dthX format.
